Last updated: September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ResumePass AI ("ResumePass AI", "the app", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use the ResumePass AI app on iPhone and iPad, downloaded from the Apple App Store. It is written to match the privacy details shown on our App Store page, so you can see exactly what happens to your data.

1. Who we are
ResumePass AI is an app that checks resumes for AI-written text, scores them against applicant tracking system (ATS) filters, and rewrites them into new PDF resumes. The app is operated by Raj Chourasiya, an independent developer based in India, who is responsible for your data under this policy.

2. Data we collect
We collect the following data, and only for the reasons listed.
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us.
Resume content
When you use a tool, the app reads the text of the PDF or Word (.docx) resume you choose, and any job description you type in. This text is sent to process your request only after you give permission (see section 6). The original file stays on your device.
Account identifiers and check balances
Your account has a unique user ID. We store it together with how many checks you have left for each tool, so your balance works on any device where you log in.
Device identifier
On iPhone and iPad, the app creates a random identifier and stores it in your device Keychain. It is used only to count free uses of the AI Detector and ATS Score Checker, so free uses cannot be reset by reinstalling the app. This identifier is not the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), is not linked to your name, email or account, and is never used for tracking or advertising.
Purchase information
When you buy a check pack, Apple confirms the purchase to the app so we can add the checks to your account. We receive the product that was bought and a transaction confirmation. We never receive your card number, Apple ID password or billing details.
Anonymous document records
When the app creates a new resume PDF, it adds a hidden document ID to the file. We store the AI Detector score and highlighted text positions for that ID, so the same resume shows the same result if you check it again later. This record does not contain your name, email, user ID or resume text.
3. App Store privacy details
This table matches the "App Privacy" section on our App Store page. "Linked to you" means the data is connected to your account. "Used to track you" means linked with data from other companies' apps or websites for advertising, which we never do.
| Data type | What it includes | Purpose | Linked to you | Used to track you |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Name | The name you enter when you register | App functionality | Yes | No |
| Email address | The email you use to log in | App functionality | Yes | No |
| Other user content | Resume text and job descriptions you submit to a tool | App functionality | No | No |
| User ID | Your account ID and check balances | App functionality | Yes | No |
| Device ID | Random app-generated ID stored in the Keychain | App functionality | No | No |
| Purchases | Which check pack was bought | App functionality | Yes | No |
4. Data we do not collect
ResumePass AI does not collect:
- Your location, precise or approximate
- Your contacts, calendar, photos, videos or microphone audio
- Health, fitness or financial information such as card or bank details
- Browsing history, search history or data from other apps
- Analytics, usage tracking, crash logs or advertising data
- The Apple advertising identifier (IDFA)
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health details, religion, political views or government ID numbers. Please leave these out of any resume you upload.
5. How we use your data
We use your data only to run the app:
- To create your account and let you log in on your devices
- To run the AI Detector, AI Rewriter, ATS Score Checker, Improve ATS Score, Fix My Resume and Template tools on the resume you choose
- To keep track of your free uses and purchased checks
- To add checks to your account after a purchase
- To show consistent AI Detector results for resumes made in the app
- To reply when you contact support
- To prevent abuse of free uses and keep the service secure
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiles, selling to data brokers, or training AI models.
6. AI processing and your consent
The app's tools rely on third-party AI providers to analyze and rewrite resume text. Because a resume contains personal information, we ask for your permission first:
- Before your first upload, the app shows a screen explaining that your resume text and any job description will be sent to third-party AI providers, and asks you to tap Allow or Don't allow.
- Nothing is sent to any AI provider unless you tap Allow.
- If you tap Don't allow, the AI tools will not run, and nothing is uploaded.
- You can change your choice anytime in the app under Account, AI data sharing.
Your resume text is sent over an encrypted connection only to produce the result you requested, such as a score or a rewritten resume. The AI providers we work with process this data under their own privacy and data protection terms. We do not allow them to use your content for advertising, and we do not store your resume text on our own servers. If you want more detail about how your data is processed, email us.
7. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that the app needs to work:
- Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore): account sign-in, storing your account data, check balances, free-use counters and anonymous document records.
- Third-party AI providers: process resume text and job descriptions you submit, only after you allow it.
- Apple: processes in-app purchases through the App Store.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
8. No tracking and no ads
ResumePass AI does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Because of this, the app never shows the "Allow app to track your activity" prompt. The app contains no advertising SDKs and shows no ads.
9. Device permissions
ResumePass AI asks only for access that a feature needs, at the moment you use that feature:
- Files and document picker: used when you choose a resume to upload. The app can only read the file you pick.
- Photo library: iOS may ask for this only if you choose to pick a file from your photos. We do not read or upload your photos.
- Share sheet and Save to Files: used when you save or share a finished PDF. You choose where it goes.
You can change these permissions anytime in iPhone or iPad Settings.
10. In-app purchases
Check packs are consumable in-app purchases processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles all payment details under the Apple Privacy Policy. We receive only the confirmation needed to add checks to your account. Refunds are handled by Apple and can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.
11. Where data is stored and for how long
- Account data and check balances: stored in Google Firebase until you delete your account.
- Resume history and generated PDFs: stored only on your device, inside the app. They are removed when you delete them in History, delete your account on that device, or delete the app.
- Your AI data sharing choice: stored only on your device.
- Free-use counter: kept with the random device identifier so free uses cannot be reset. It contains no personal information.
- Anonymous document records: kept so results stay consistent. They contain no personal information.
- Resume text sent for AI processing: not stored on our servers. It is processed to return your result.
- Support emails: kept as long as needed to answer you, then deleted.
12. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app:
- Open ResumePass AI and tap Account.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Enter your password and tap Delete permanently.
This immediately deletes your login, name, email address and check balances from our servers, and clears your resume history and AI data sharing choice on that device. Unused checks are lost and cannot be restored.
If you cannot open the app, email onlineplagiarismremover@gmail.com from your account email and we will delete your account within 7 days. More details are on the account deletion page.
13. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR in the EU and UK, and California privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it
- Correct data that is wrong
- Delete your data and your account
- Withdraw your consent to AI processing at any time, in Account, AI data sharing
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Complain to your local data protection authority
To use any of these rights, email onlineplagiarismremover@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm the request from your account email. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
14. Security
All data sent between the app and our services uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Account data is protected by access rules that let each account read only its own data, and the device identifier is kept in the iOS Keychain. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit what we collect in the first place.
15. International transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. When this happens, the data is protected by the providers' own security and data protection commitments.
16. Children
ResumePass AI is a career tool for adults and older students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes or the law requires it. The date at the top always shows the latest version. If a change affects how your data is used in a significant way, we will let you know in the app before it takes effect.
18. Contact us
For any question about this policy or your data, email onlineplagiarismremover@gmail.com.
Use of the app downloaded from the App Store is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and our Terms & Conditions.
